Artificial intelligence is reshaping how environmental health and safety (EHS) teams design and deliver training, offering faster and more creative ways to build effective learning experiences. "From Concept to Course: AI for Safety Training Development" gives CSHEMA members a practical, engaging look at how today’s AI tools can enhance every stage of course creation while maintaining the accuracy and compliance essential to campus safety. The session demonstrates how large language models (LLMs) can accelerate content drafting and how AI‑generated visuals can help illustrate hazard scenarios and complex concepts. Participants will see realistic examples of moving from a blank page to a structured course outline far more efficiently, with AI supporting early development and human expertise guiding final decisions. We’ll highlight where oversight is crucial: validating technical details, aligning with regulations, reducing bias, and ensuring institutional consistency. Attendees will also gain practical prompt strategies and quality‑assurance techniques to help them adopt AI responsibly and effectively. By the end of the session, participants will leave with a clear workflow and ready‑to‑use prompts they can apply immediately to laboratory safety, chemical hazard training, emergency response modules, and other campus safety training needs.
